April 2013 Update

Posted by on May 4, 2013 in Blog

We had several really powerful revivals during the month of April.  We started the month in Kittrell, NC.   The altars were full with people seeking God during each service.  There were lots of young people praying, and there were 4 saved and 7 filled with the Holy Ghost.  We had tremendous services on Sunday and ended the revival with Katie and Stephen singing,  ”There’s a Victory Coming”.  It is a powerful song written by Katie, and it’s quickly becoming one of our most requested songs.  Our revival at the Big Oaks Church of God in Baxley, GA was very memorable.  There was such a spirit of conviction. So many youth were praying in the altars. We had at least 7 souls saved, including a young man who was being deployed to Afghanistan. He and his precious wife came and knelt in the altar and accepted Christ as their personal savior.  When he stood up, it was very evident that a load had been lifted.  He couldn’t stop crying and rejoicing.  The month ended in NC.  We went to Andrews where we had a great weekend. Dad and some other friends came to be with us.  He played guitar and sang.  It was such a blessing.  He is 87 years old, but he still has a strong voice and he certainly has that anointing.  He sang “Almost Home” and I couldn’t help but cry as I thought about my precious mother and how many times they had sung that song together. I know we will all be together again soon.  We left Andrews and went to Roanoke Rapids.  It was a long trip but certainly worth it.  We had 3 tremendous services and saw 2 precious souls saved. It was a very busy month.  We traveled a lot of miles but we were blessed to see 13 souls saved, and 7 people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  We were privileged to see many precious friends that we don’t get to see very often, and we were treated with such kindness and hospitality everywhere we went. I never want to take for granted how God provides for us and keeps us in his care.  A few months ago we were going to a church, and we had a hub assembly go out on our trailer.  We were many miles from home, and I didn’t know anyone in that town.  Miraculously, we made it to the church, and I began contacting various places about getting a tow.  The pastor told me not to worry, because someone in the congregation would be able to fix it the next day.  Truthfully, I had my reservations, but I tried not to worry about it. We had a great revival, and the next day during Homecoming lunch, a member of the congregation changed out of his dress clothes and brought his truck -complete with...
